UK ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS 2009

It was a victorious and compelling night for B4U MUSIC at the UK Asian Music Awards this year with performances that exemplified talent and diversity to a vibrant and energetic crowd.  Located at the prominent Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre the event featured a variety of performances and prestigious awards.

B4U Music VJ Salil, who presented the ceremony alongside Karen David, kept the crowd amused with his with his confident and witty charisma. The star studded event included performances by Bishi, H. Dhami, Juggy D, Mumzy, Tasha Tah, Veronica, Jas Dhami, Chunni and Mona Singh, Des-C, D Boy, Sef, Shayal and American Superstars Jagged Edge.

Amongst the winners was the king of the UK Asian music scene Jay Sean who scooped the award for Best Male act and the best urban act.
M.I.A, who has recently gained a large amount of worldwide fame for her track ‘Paper Planes’ which featured in the box office hit Slumdog Millionaire and also for her collaboration with American Hip Hop artists Jay Z, Lil Wayne, T.I and Kanye west, won the award for best female act. Rishi Rich walked away with the award for best producer and commitment to the scene, and Bobby Friction won the award for best radio host. Other winners included Gurdaas Maan, H Dhami and Jazzy B.

However the most prestigious award of the night was the B4U MUSIC outstanding Achievement award, which was proudly presented to A.R Rahman, whose recent success for his music in Slumdog Millionaire made him an international winner at the Oscars, Baftas and Academy awards. B4U MUSIC was pleased to present the renowned musician with yet another commendable award; the channel had been following his success and was exceptionally delighted with his worldwide attainment.

The UK Asian Music Awards 2009 proved to be a triumphant event that highlighted the immense impact that Asian music has had on the U.K market. The ceremony successfully celebrated and embraced the achievements made by artists to create a space for their music in such a competitive industry. B4U MUSIC, a fundamental supporter of the scene was filming the event, which is soon to be broadcasted worldwide.

EAST MUSIC B4U CONTINUES TO WOW THE CROWDS IN LONDON’S SPITALFIELDS MARKET


EAST MUSIC B4U TO HIGHLIGHT ASIAN TALENT IN THE U.K

B4U Music is proud to announce they will be participating in this year’s East festival in London’s Old Spitalfields Market. East is a six day festival that celebrates the culture and history of East London; an area that is known for its multicultural, vibrant atmosphere.
East is organised by the Mayor of London in partnership with major cultural establishments across East London. It will be located in the hot spots of the area including Central East, Hackney and Stratford.
B4U Music’s participation involves providing live music acts in Spitalfields Market for a lunchtime bonanza called ‘East Music B4U’.  East Music B4U is a free event that will take place from March 5th – March 10th. . B4U Music has selected a variety of artists, all of whom represent a diverse style of Asian music to perform live throughout the festival, everyday between 12.30 and 1.30. Confirmed artists include multitalented duo Shekie and Sham, AG Dollar, Jess Dhami, Mona Singh, Tasha Tah and Navin Kundra. The event will allow all visitors to experience the compelling sounds of Bollywood music live in the heart of East London.

B4U Music is proud to present the extravagant 2009 UK Asian Music Awards on March 5th 2009 at The Royal Festival Hall, London. The annual award ceremony returns bigger and better this year with an entertaining selection of performers.

B4U Music is strongly associated with the UK Asian music scene. It is constantly supporting both established artists and newcomers who seek exposure in both the Asian and UK commercial music scene.

The event will be hosted by B4U’s very own VJ Salil and singer and actress Karen David. VJ Salil, a popular icon of the B4U Music channel will be travelling to the UK from Mumbai especially for the event.
This year the UK Asian Music Awards will be held at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall, situated in the London South Bank Centre. The choice of such a prominent venue, that regularly hosts major concerts and events, exemplifies the high popularity of the award ceremony which 3000 people are expected to attend.

Confirmed artists who are performing at the event include Channi Singh, Mona Singh, Amar ft Jim Beanz, Jagged Edge, H Dhami, Rishi Rich, Veronica, Mumzy, Tasha Tah, Nisha Kataria, Juggy D, Shayal, Romeo, Sef, Swiss, Des-C, D-Boy, DJ 279, Shahin Badar, Mets n Trix, DJ Kayper and many more.

B4U will be filming the UK Asian Music Awards 2009 for it to be screened worldwide through all its beams.
