Award winning producer PBN, who gave us the best album of 2010 and the biggest selling single last year has started his campaign to take over 2011 as well. His new album – ‘Me, Myself & Music‘ is set to release this autumn and PBN’s first single ‘Fitteh Moo‘ is already creating a major buzz for what is set to be another hit album. The single went straight to number one in the UK World iTunes chart within hours of its release.
The man behind hits such as ‘Kaun Nee Jaandah’, ‘Aashiq’ and ‘Aaj Me Peeni’ has been reigning the Bhangra charts, dance floors and DJ systems over the last few years. His popularity and demand has lead to collaborations with renowned artists and performances across the globe. With each album his reach is getting further and his following is getting bigger. Showcasing his ability to work with different styles and an understanding of his audience, PBN continues to attract listeners and satisfy Bhangra fans around the world.
PBN aims to create memorable numbers, which stand the test of time and live up to his ‘Hitmaker’ title. With his latest release, ‘Fitteh Moo‘ PBN has done just that. This light-hearted, girls versus boys track, complete with a catchy hook has all the makings of a dance floor smash. Here’s the stunning new video for ‘Nachle’ (On the Dancefloor) by the funky 3Mix boys. The video was shot in London by imagery wizard Luke Biggins who’s previous work includes videos for artists such as Ludacris, T2, Hinda Hicks, Keisha White & Devlin.
‘Nachle’ features talented singer/songwriter Navin Kundra and is produced by the acclaimed Mushtaq, who is responsible for delivering hit after hit for the likes of Amy Whinehouse, Sugababes and Raghav.
3Mix began turning heads after winning the Best Unsigned Act at the UK Asian Music Awards and in 2008, coming off the back of a successful national tour, landing a single deal with major label EMI, releasing their debut single ‘Put It On Me’. Since the, the guys have been busy touring the world, performing to thousands and building a solid fan base along the way.

A SIZZLING SAMAR!
They say that music is in your genes, and for one teenager that’s certainly true!
Already billed as the ‘Indian Justin Bieber’, 16 year old Samar Sidhu is about to fulfil his musical legacy as he prepares to take centre stage this summer with the release of his first single ‘Mukhara’.
The son of Bhangra iconAmarjit Sidhu, Samar, started to learn tabla at the tender age of 12. He discovered a passion for singing a couple of years later, after meeting the then newcomer Jaz Dhami, as the budding star approached Samar’s father for advice and direction. Last July, he undertook vocal training from the internationally renowned playback singer Jayshree Shivram Ji from Mumbai.
It was inevitable that a young man like Jaz was going to be a huge impact on the eager teenager and as a result, Samar started developing his own unique sound. Samar has spent the past two years creating music that combines his love of Bollywood, Bhangra and Hindi.
Samar, like most young lads, is a keen footballer and a huge Manchester United fan. But his singing is now top of his agenda. The teenager says of his music: “I am really determined for my music to be my own, it’s influenced and inspired by the music and artists that I love and I hope that audiences across the world will like what I have created. It’s a reflection of my life and my personality.”
‘Mukhara’ is the first single to be released from the Sidhu camp, featuring three separate mixes, including a Bhangra mix by the chart topping Dark MC, a Bollywood mix and a Club Dance mix.
Samar continues: “We had great fun with Mukhara and we’ve created three mixes for different moods and tastes – so no excuse for anyone not to listen – wherever they are and whatever mood they’re in!”
The young Sidhu is also setting a new precedent with his first single; as well as the three mixes, he has created two separate videos for the tracks! The first video for the Bollywood mix is set in Monaco amidst the glamorous life of the rich and famous, whereas the club mix takes on a completely different vibe, seeing Samar being put through his paces with some serious dance moves! The choreography comes courtesy of Artur Gourounlian, the man responsible for choreographing Take That, X-Factor and a host of other major artists.
Samar is a keen live performer and is looking forward to a summer filled with gigs and mela’s where he can take his music to the masses.
He adds: “I love live performances. There is nothing as thrilling as going out on stage. The buzz that you get from seeing people enjoy my music is unbelievable and inspires me to do well.
It’s going to be a real privilege to be able to perform on the same stage as some of my icons such as Mangal Singh, Shin DCS, Jaz Dhami, H Dhami and Garry Sandhu. Roll on July!”
And what comes next? Well, the new kid on the block already has a few tracks for a debut album under his belt:
“I’ve been really lucky to have had support from the very best of the UK Asian music industry. Two of my heroes, Mangal Singh and Shin of DCS, have already composed some of the tracks for the album, plus of course I have guidance from the best in the business – my dad!”
Embarking on his musical journey, Samar follows closely in his illustrious father’s footsteps. Amarjit Sidhu has been a pioneer of the British Bhangra industry for over 20 years, as a solo artist, producer and as a member of legendary Bhangra group Chirag Pehchan.
Sidhu also organised the first Asian Pop Awards at the Dome in Birmingham in 1986. A year earlier Amarjit put the Asian music scene on the map by creating the Asian equivalent of Live Aid featuring 15 bands, including Alaap, Heera, and Apna Sangeet, and raising funds for Ethiopia. After leaving the music and media industry in 2000, Sidhu now returns to produce and launch his heir to the throne, Samar Sidhu.
HIGHFLYERS SET TO RELEASE SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM ALONG WITH FINAL SINGLE GULABI SUIT FEATURING MEET MALKIT – 16 JUNE 2011 ON THE SOUND PIPE RECORDS
06 JUNE 2011 – LONDON, U.K. – After the success of their debut track ‘Baa Farke’, smash hit follow-up ‘The Shinda Duet’ and the catchy ‘Daru Naal Yaari’, DJ Gurj and Indie of Highflyers are set to release their final single ‘Gulabi Suit’ featuring Meet Malkit to coincide with the release of their self-titled debut album on the 16 June.
The album features 14 deadly tracks designed for hardcore Bhangraheads and features a host of artists from Kaka Bhainiawala, and Surinder Shinda to Meet Malkit and Bakshi Billa. Featuring a mix of styles, each track contains a solid Bhangra beat that is part of Highflyers signature style. ‘We are glad to finally get the album out to showcase all the other tracks we have worked on’ explains DJ Gurj. ‘It’s great to finally see the whole product out there so that all our supporters can see the diversity of our production style’ adds Indie.
Their latest offering ‘Gulabi Suit’ is a pure dance floor hit aimed at the ladies and designed to rock a party. ‘We thought our final single should be one that the ladies can enjoy. Our previous singles catered for a more Desi crowd but ‘Gulabi Suit’ is more easy listening and just a pure party track that can be enjoyed by all’ states DJ Gurj.
Highflyers are now busy with their roadshow on the party circuit and are in the studio planning their follow-up album.
The single ‘Gulabi Suit’ featuring Meet Malkit by will be available to download from iTunes from 16 June 2011. The music video will be airing on major Asian music television networks soon.

Bonafide releases ‘I Came To Party’
Following the success of auspicious anthem ‘Ishq Hogaya’ in 2008, 2009’s hot hit ‘Pata Laga Na’, and summer smash ‘Galay Lag Ja’ in 2011, British duo Bonafide have been in the lab once again, working with renowned producer Hunterz, and brother Vee, to create their latest example in a long list of classics; ‘I Came To Party’.
The single, ‘I Came To Party’ is another ‘Bonafide’ trademark Bhangra fusion track, delivering typical perkiness, with a general feel-good vibe, making for a well rounded summer anthem. The track features both Ziggy and Maz (collectively Bonafide) deliver vocal performances each; Ziggy in English, and Maz in Panjabi.
The video for ‘I Came To Party’, shot in Turin, Italy, is a vibrant display of Bonafide’s daily on-goings; as two friends it showcases the pair shopping and walking the streets, and as businessmen, it shows the duo holding auditions and conducting day to day business.

The ‘H’ is Back!
He’s back! The extraordinary DJ H marks his return to the studio with a guaranteed dance-floor smash. ‘Billo Nach Nach Ke’ combines DJ H’s superb production skills with the incredible vocals of Geeta Zaildar, a man made famous for singing about whistling and white outfits! This collaboration is the first track from DJ H’s forthcoming album out later this year. Geeta has enjoyed huge success with the songs Kannian, Seeti and Heartbeat amongst others. DJ H is no stranger to success either having recently released ‘Sahan To Pyariya‘ featuring Garry Sandhu. Prior to that, he has been best known for the amazing package that was ‘Reloaded‘. After debuting with his first single ‘Glassi’ in late 2010, London based DJ/Producer DJ Sat Singh is set to release his follow up single ‘Note’ on 26th May via iTunes.
‘Note’ sees DJ Sat Singh team up with a trio of superb vocalist including G.Sharmilla, Balvir Douba and the female voice of Punjab; Sudesh Kumari! The single ‘Note’ is from the forthcoming debut album by DJ Sat Singh, which will feature a high quality line up of vocalists from across the globe.
