Illmatik, going back to 2008 when Illmatik was created, Shak worked heavily on the underground circuit with many producers from many different genres, and found his comfort zone in bhangra-fuzion music, in which he explained that he could be him self and was able to make the beat his canvas for his art. As years passed by Shak’s close family and friends were criticizing his work and always trying to improve him, finally when Illmatik was ready to be launched on to a much larger audience, we then made arrangements with various producers and artists to make a mix-tape. The mix-tape, called ‘Handwriting’ was release last year collaborating with another local artist named Young Twist. The mix-tape consisted of 16 banging tracks, featuring many local artist and also by the worldwide known artist Nasir Khan on a Collaboration called Dil Thag Liya. 10,000 copies were distributed last year FREE at mela’s and other events.
After receiving a large amount of support an love from the fans he had created, we started working on a project called ‘Tere Ishq’, for which we had a track produced and composed by producer Gorilla Chilla and vocals from a Manchester talent names Balwinder Singh. For the track we shot a video in the superclub Circle in Manchester. The track and video has been set up for a free download, for everyone to enjoy for free. The next step for Illmatik has been set out, Illmatik have been approached by a major record and new material will be released later this year. May 19th will see the release of ‘Mr Makhna’ the brand new single by Dipps Bhamrah! Featuring the vocals of K.S Bhamrah (Apna Sangeet), ‘Mr Makhna’ is the first single to be released from the forthcoming album by Dipps Bhamrah titled ‘Project: Bhangra’
Dipps first joined Apna Sangeet as a keyboard player aged 15 in 1996 and has been ever present. He was part of the award winning band when it picked up the Best Bhangra Band award at the 1997 Movie Music Awards. With Apna Sangeet, Dipps extensively toured the UK & abroad with tours including North America, Europe Australia, New Zealand and the far east. 15 years on Dipps Bhamrah is still part of the band & has evolved as its creative sound creator in 2011.
Bringing together all his experience from the live scene, Dipps took the natural step into Production. Dipps saw himself elevated into the forefront with his debut release ‘Take One’ releasing in 2002. The album received acclaimed support from the late great John Peel and Bobby Friction & Nihal Presents… (BBC Radio 1). Dipps went onto produce for Apna Sangeet (Diamond Cuts) alongside featuring on the hit albums Serious Records compilations ‘Gettin Serious’, ‘Ne Baliyeh’ & K.S.Bhamrah’s 2010 album ‘Dhol Vajda‘with his track ‘Tera Long‘ charting in the Official Asian Download Chart Top 30.
As a DJ, Dipps has become one of the elite performers and hosts on the Bhangra circuit. His style can best be described as ‘peddle to the metal’ as Dipps takes his ability to mix and mash any genre with Bhangra music to his audiences. Having played out and hosted at acclaimed venues including Ministry of Sound, Oceana Birmingham and Radox FX Czech Republic, Dipps Bhamrah continues to bring his unique showcase to Bhangra loving dancefloors.
Now in 2011, Dipps Bhamrah finally embarks on his creation of ‘Project: BHANGRA’, his second solo album. Dipps, in his own unique way, launched a series of video blogs on his youtube channel, giving an unprecedented insight into the building of an album.
With the album well underway, featuring a host of established and new talents, Dipps Bhamrah is will be releasing the firs single ‘Mr Makhna’ from ‘Project: BHANGRA’ on 19th May via iTunes!

Kan D Man’s Bio
Kan D Man has long enjoyed success on the urban underground scene and is a popular MC of the Grime genre. Having been active in the music industry since the age of 15, he enjoyed success with his first solo venture at the age of 18. The ‘Undergraduate’ was popular on the grime scene as well as the brit asian scene.
By 2005 Kan D Man took the lead role in putting together an outfit of asian MC’s and producers to create the renowned ‘Chronical Entertainment’. The group enjoyed instant popularity on the UK Grime and UrbanAsian scene. Their first Album, ‘Seasons’ gained regular airplay on bbc asian network, 1Xtra and Kiss Fm, gaining recognition by leading dj’s such as Bobby Friction and Nihal to name a few. This gained them much respect amongst peers and fans alike as the stations have long been linked with breakthrough acts from the underground scene.
Further success greeted Kan D Man with the launch of his own radio show on bbc asian network. Kan D Man and DJ Limelight took the airways by storm and fast became known as being in the forefront of the UK Asian scene with a large following. The shows unique position and popularity allowed it to become a valuable tool in bridging the gap between the UK Asian and UK Urban scenes. After just one year of being on air the pair won their first Sony Award, the British radio world’s equivalent of a Bafta.
And if the above was not enough, in such a small amount of time Kan D Man is now working on a solo project once more, which is eagerly anticipated by his fans and peers. Kan D man continues to put music out there and work in collaboration with other artists, due to his hard work and success Kan D Man is often approached by up and coming artists for advice and guidance, very few artists can boast the same level of respect in the industry.

02 FEBRUARY 2011 – LONDON, U.K. – Highflyers burst onto the Asian music scene last year with their hit debut single ‘Baa Farke’ and smash hit follow-up ‘The Shinda Duet’. They are now set to give us another true Bhangra classic in the form of their latest single ‘Daru Naal Yaari’ featuring the mighty vocals of the late Kaka Bhaniawala.
The dynamic duo decided to release a song which drove home the message of addiction, and ‘Daru Naal Yaari’ is a track that outlines such issues that trouble people in the everyday world. ‘The track is basically about a man’s addiction to alcohol and how issues in his life have drove him to it.’ explains DJ Indie. ‘Kaka Bhaniawala really does this track justice and drives the message home. Our creativity seems to really flow when using material sung by Kaka. He is truly inspirational and his vocal style works well with our style of production’ states DJ Gurj.
Highflyers have certainly reached a high point in their musical journey so far. They will be releasing their debut album soon featuring a host of tracks designed for hardcore Bhangraheads and looking forward to planning for their follow-up album. In the meantime they continue to work the private party and club circuit with their Roadshow.
The single ‘Daru Naal Yaari’ by Highflyers featuring Kaka Bhaniawala will be available to download from iTunes from 17th February 2011. Get ready for a Bhangra explosion from new sensation Sat Sandhu direct from the heart of Paris!
Born and raised in Paris, Sat Sandhu, is the first Bhangra artist to come out of France. The talented 22 year old has not only been recognised for his raw talent as a Bhangra artist but as a born entertainer and performer.
Sat’s musical career started in 2005 when himself and his brother started a bhangra team called Shaan-Punjab-Di. Although backed by a supportive family, Sat explains that it was hard at the beginning trying to get their music recognised ‘I worked hard and trained myself and the rest of the group. I became leader of the group and after five hard years we became the number one Bhangra team in Europe.’
After five successful years together, Sat decided to venture out on his own to conquer the world of Bhangra. Sat who is a trained dancer & also plays the Dhol professionally, has always been drawn to the world of arts since a young age. His passion for music stemmed from following huge stars such as Michael Jackson. However it was as a teen that Sat realised that most of the musically inspirational people to him were non-Asian and it was this that fuelled him to show his peers in France his heritage and culture via his love for Bhangra music hoping one day to become a role model for other aspiring artists.
His first single ‘Dil Dhak Dhak’ accompanied by his first video shot in his home town of Paris, is set to hit airwaves and TV screens across the UK this Christmas and is just a taster of what is to come from the young star.
Having already taken Paris by storm, Sat Sandhu is forecast to cause chaos in the UK this December…watch this space!
