‘Tu Bataja’ is D-Boy’s take on a Hindi/Urdu language song penned by a Punjabi artist with R&B production sensibilities and a sprinkling of Ghazal style.
D-Boy: “Tu Bataja has to be one of the strongest tracks on the album. I began sketching musical ideas for the track and Des-C had great ideas for a story about forgiving person who has been unfaithful and the pain involved in the process.”
The most challenging aspect for the Director was the incorporation of the producer-artist (as it’s a D-Boy track) into the video as more than just a cameo… The subtle subtext is that D-Boy is the ‘Other Man’ in the broken love between Des-C and Maysoon…
